The company began as a project in our President, Peter Vieveen’s garage. Because of his experience in the construction industry, Peter knew how dangerous it is for workers near traffic, especially flaggers. Peter’s goal in designing the original Remote Controlled Flagman, an Automated Flagger Assistance Device (AFAD), was to improve work-zone safety and decrease on-site labor costs.
More than 20 years later, North America Traffic has become an international company and a world leader in work-zone traffic control, but the goal of increasing safety and reducing costs is still the same.
